Gold is gone – the treasure hunt has new rules

LATEST REPORT

Free followers and restocking chests

Epic has confirmed that Gold Bars are removed, follower services are free and vending machines are gone. Chests restock after a while, so the old Overdogs tactic “we already looted here, let’s go back anyway” is suddenly perfectly reasonable.

The loot pool now includes the Bundlebuss Repeater Rifle, Gilded Dragoon Shotgun, Explosive Cannon Ball and One Piece items. Wanted Posters turn into treasure maps leading to buried Sprite chests.

The next major change arrives on 7 November with Lil Uzi, Cuddle Team Leader, Buggy and Megalodon. Miku and Teto follow on 14 November, then Oscar and his Frenzy Auto Shotgun on 21 November. These are official announcements; no unverified leaks are included.
